It s not true “sorting” but you can use Reporting in Asana complete or incomplete subtasks, sliced and diced by person, or project or section, etc. I find that VERY useful!

There is no sprint concept in Asana. So we are forced to name sprints as tasks and tasks as subtasks
This would be one way. We also helped clients create one project per sprint, and it works really well.

I don’t think that is the right way of doing. I want to enclose all tasks of project in one project for historical data reasons, not just one project per sprint

While reviewing out internal Asana boards, I noticed that completed subtasks remain mixed in with active ones within each task. This can make it harder to quickly identify which subtasks are still outstanding.
I would like to suggest exploring whether it is possible to automatically reorder subtasks within a task so that:
• **Incomplete subtasks remain at the top; ** and
•Completed subtasks are moved to the bottom once marked as completed.
This would help improve task clarity, reduce confusion, and make it easier to prioritise the remaining work.

FYI I moved your post (and votes) to an existing thread on the same subject, so as to keep all similar feedback and votes in one place.
I assume since this was a suggestion as of March 2019 (over 6 years ago), this mean’s my idea is considered not a viable option for Asana to implement, shame as it seems that a lot of people seem to think this idea would be viable for Asana to implement, I guess it doesn’t add any fiscal benefit for the company to resolve such a issue.

Not at all, @Phil_Newby - there are multiple examples of changes that people started asking for years ago and after a number of years, were implemented.

This problem has bothered me for years so I finally did something about it. I created browser extensions that will automatically do this. I really hope this helps your problems!!

I understand that the new subtask feature doesn’t solve the problem I’m proposing.
However, I thought it might at least address the need to move completed tasks to the sidelines, so I introduced it.
