Adding tasks in Calendar view doesn't work

I’m attempting to create a new task directly in a team calendar but using these instructions:

the task editor never pops up when I select into a calendar day square.

I’m on Mac and I’ve tried in Firefox, Safari and Chrome. No joy.

The baffling thing is, I witnessed a co-worker create a new task in a calendar but another co-worker and I cannot do the same.

Thoughts?

I self-solved this issue. We were attempting to add a task to a TEAM calendar and not a PROJECT calendar.
