Add subtasks through the task description

Hi !

Is there a way to create subtasks through the task description?

I’m currently using the task description a lot after each meeting to do the meeting report, and each time I write down the next “To do.” Would it be possible to directly write the “to do” and then click on one to-do bullet and create a subtask?

I know i could avoid writing those “to do” and directly create subtasks, but some “to do” points are supposed to be done by some external people (who don’t have access to asana) so it would be confusing

Is there a way to do this?

Hi Larry,

Thanks for your answer! I actually didn’t know about this feature; :slight_smile: however, does this work only in the Description field, is there a way to do it in the comment part? (I can only find it for “Description.”) Anyways, I can always copy past it from Description to comment, it would already help!

The toolbar Subtasks icon is only found in the Description.

But that’s what you asked for in the OP, with no mention of Comments there at all; what are you trying to do?
