According to this post, all files attached to tasks and subtasks should appear in the Files tab. When I asked AsanaAI why I couldn’t see all the files I knew existed, I got this response:
The Files tab only shows attachments from tasks that are directly added to the project. Since subtasks don’t automatically inherit their parent task’s project association, their attachments won’t appear in the Files tab by default.
I’ve confirmed that’s not the case in my projects, so I think the Files tab is filtering out files attached to comments. If that’s the case, I would argue the Files tab should show ALL files attached to the project in any way (tasks, subtasks, comments, and overview/key resources).
