Ability to Add to Portfolio when creating a New Project

It would be awesome if the option to “Add to Portfolio” was available when creating a new project. We don’t often use project templates (where I can include the Add To Portfolio automation) because each project is set up differently.

if you create projects from project templates then you can already do this now:

Hi there,
If, like me, you have already created the template, and wish to retrospectively ensure that all future template projects add in to your portfolio, you can do this too.

1. Click in to your team
2. Find the template you wish to edit (at the bottom of the screen, below members and projects listed within the team).
3. Click the three dots and click edit template.
4. This will take you to the “build your template” section. On the left handside, click on “3 - Settings”.
5. At the bottom of the settings page, you can then enter the portfolio you wish your template project to always appear in.

Oh just spotted you are not using templates often. Then you can add the project to a template here:

Thanks for the input but that is how I’ve been adding to Portfolios, which is an extra step AFTER the project has already been created and is sometimes forgotten. What I’d like to see is the “Add to Portfolio” option on the new project form itself.

I have a question. I am new to this space so I may not be posting in the correct space. My question is: How can I save all the messages on my portfolio? I want to sunset my portfolio but save all my messages, can I do that? Is there a way to transfer all my messages to an asana team?
