# 403 Forbidden error

` WARN: Asana::Errors::Forbidden: The API key and request syntax was valid but the server is refusing to complete the request. This can happen if you try to read or write to objects or properties that the user does not have access to.`  
The user has access to the project and editing rights. The error occurs when trying to create tags via the API.

Asana IDs are OK to share publicly; if you can share the user’s ID (simplest way: make a GET request to [https://app.asana.com/api/1.0/users/me](https://app.asana.com/api/1.0/users/me)) and the workspace ID used in this request I can take a look for you!
